To add just a little bit more salt to this open wound, I recently had an MRI done on my knee. Before the procedure, they asked me if I wanted to pay for the karyotype test. The grand total? $3.
Meaning Nick and I could’ve potentially saved ourselves a lot of heartache and a lot of money by spending $6 at Kaiser (not $900). (I later received another bill, but it still wasn’t close to the $450/person we were originally told. All said and done, we both could’ve tested for about $365.)
I don’t remember the clinic telling me taking the test through Kaiser was an option, and I’m honestly pretty mad at them all over again.
Hindsight is definitely 20/20, but that really sucks.
